Also called the Spätgen palace or the castle of Prussian kings. It is a palace complex from the eighteenth to the twentieth century Wroclaw residence of the Prussian kings of the Hohenzollern dynasty. The oldest part of the building was built in 1719 by Peintner according to the plans of Fischer von Erlach as the residence of Baron Heinrich Gottfried von Spätgen. In 1750 it was bought from its heirs by King of Prussia Frederick II the Great. From that time, it was called the royal palace, also commonly known as the Frydderian Palace. Nearby, there is an evangelical church, called courtly. Initially, the complex was maintained in the forms of the classicizing Baroque palace, it was a compact building located deep in the plot, between the square and the garden, which is now the central wing.
