The Old Town Hall is a late-Gothic building located on the Wrocław Market Square, one of the best-preserved historic town halls in Poland, and also one of the main architectural monuments of Wrocław. The two-storey, basement, three-tract building on the plan of an elongated rectangle with a tower and several outbuildings was built in several stages of construction for about 250 years (from the end of the 13th century until the 16th century). Nowadays, the Town Hall houses a branch of the City Museum in Wrocław - the Museum of Bourgeois Art, being its main exhibit. The town hall can be visited from Wednesday to Saturday from 10.00-17.00, on Sunday from 10.00-18.00. Admission is free on Wednesday. In the basement of the Town Hall there is Piwnica Świdnicka, one of the oldest gastronomic establishments in Europe.
