The National Forum of Music is a cultural institution of the city of Wrocław. Established on May 22, 2014, from the merger of the International Wratislavia Cantans Festival and the Philharmonic Hall. W. Lutosławski in Wroclaw. One of the initiators of establishing the institution of the National Forum of Music and the construction of a new concert hall is Andrzej Kosendiak, currently the director of the NFM. The institution organizes the activities of eleven instrumental and vocal ensembles: NFM Symphony Orchestra, NFM Leopoldinum - Chamber Orchestra, Wrocław Baroque Orchestra, NFM Choir, Polish National Youth Choir, NFM Boys' Choir, Lutosławski Quartet, LutosAir Quintet, NFM Quintet, NFM String Leopoldinum. Currently, the National Forum of Music coordinates nine international events, including the International Wratislavia Cantans Festival, Musica Polonica Nova, Jazztopad, Musica Electronica Nova, the Academy of Early Music, Forum Musicum, Leo Festival, the International Festival of Vienna Music and Singing Europe. The activity of NFM also includes numerous educational projects for children and youth (including Singing Europe, the Choir Academy, Sing to Mom, sing to me Dad), as well as initiatives for adults that promote participation in cultural life, including Music Lover's Choir. In addition, he is the publisher of the nationwide monthly 'Music in the City' and one of the most important institutions creating the Wrocław 2016 program - the European Capital of Culture. The National Forum of Music, because this is also the name of the newly created concert hall, is the largest technically innovative concert facility in this part of Europe. In the building you will find, among others: four concert halls, including the main one with 1,800 seats and three intimate rooms for an audience of 250 to 450 people, as well as a recording studio, rehearsal rooms, conference and office rooms, and exhibition space. The facility also includes an underground car park for 700 cars and a courtyard as a place for outdoor cultural events.
