A Gothic-Renaissance surface castle located about 25 km from the center of Wrocław, is located at the lowest point of the area, among wetlands and forests. It is one of the few castles of this type in Poland. Once, thanks to the moat that surrounded him, it was a defensive knight's residence, which was then transformed into the residence of wealthy Wrocław burghers. The war and post-war periods were not kind to the building, it caused numerous damages. It wasn't until the 1960s that the Wrocław Branch of the Association of Art Historians, with the support of the Main Board, took care of the castle and undertook restoration work. From 7 June 2014, the owner of the castle is the College of Eastern Europe Jan Nowak-Jeziorański in Wroclaw, which received the castle as a gift from the Ministry of the Treasury. Currently, it is a tourist attraction together with the surrounding park. It was opened to tourists on March 21, 2015. In the beautiful interiors of the castle you will find, among others: a restaurant, training and conference rooms, hotel rooms and offices of the College of Eastern Europe Foundation named after Jan Nowak-Jeziorański. The "Presentations" art gallery has been operating in the castle for years. Open-air workshops and artistic workshops were organized here.
