The architectural pearl of Bolesław created from hewn stones. It is the longest viaduct of this type in Poland and one of the longest in all of Europe. It is 49 meters long, 8 wide and 26 high. With 35 semi-circular spans supported by pillars, it looks like a Roman aqueduct. Work on its construction began on June 18, 1844. The construction took two years. An important date in its history was 1945, when the Germans retreating from the city blew up the central span of the crossing. Already in 1947, the reconstruction was completed and full line mobility was restored. In 2006, in August, the viaduct was illuminated, while in 2009, work on the general renovation of the viaduct was completed. He gained, among others new overhead contact line and track system. Thanks to these changes, trains can reach a speed of 160 km / h here.
