One of the most characteristic bridges of Wroclaw, a 19th century bridge connecting Ostrów Tumski with the island of Pasek. Colloquially also called the Bridge of Lovers or the Cathedral Bridge. In 2009, the first padlocks appeared on it in July. After a year, there were already 3900 pieces, most of them bearing tablets or engraved. The current steel bridge is 52.19 m long, the platform width is 6.84 m, the portal height is 6.90 m, the span is 25.19 and 25.93 m. The steel truss structure of the Gerber system manufactured in Huta Piła on the Kłodnicki Canal in Rudziniec near Gliwice, the factory of G. Ruffer was assembled and was finished by the metalloplastic factory of Gustaw Trelenberg. At the bridge, on the shore of the Piasek Island, from 1893 there are statues of St. Jadwiga and St. John the Baptist made by Gustaw Grunenberg. At the Tumski Bridge there are also manually operated and functional antique gas lamps.
